Emergency Filtration Products Starts
Shipping Child NanoMask
Emergency Filtration Products, Inc. (EFP,
Henderson, NV) has begun shipping a smaller version
of the NanoMask. This facemask is identical in its performance
characteristics to the adult version, but is smaller
in order to better fit children and individuals for
whom the adult NanoMask is too large. The suggested
retail price for one NanoMask and two NanoMask filters
is $14.95. Initial orders received for the child NanoMask
and child NanoMask filters alone exceed $300,000.
Separately, the company also announced that it had entered
into a distribution agreement with Global Protection
Acquisition Inc. a, West Berlin, New Jersey based company
that specializes in Homeland Security products.
"Global Protection is one of our leading U.S. distributors,
has a strong presence throughout the United States and
also distributes in Asia and Europe," said Douglas
K. Beplate, President & CEO, EFP. "We are delighted
to have them on board and look forward to helping them
meet their NanoMask sales objectives."
"With the threat of the impending bird flu pandemic,
government agencies on all levels are preparing to stockpile
hundreds of millions of respirators," said Steven
Guarino, President of Global Protection. "Every
major corporation is looking to protect their employees.
We are currently in discussions with a number of large
corporations and government agencies that are planning
multi-million dollar budgets for respirator purchases
and other bird flu preparedness measures. Global Protection
is at the forefront of supplying these corporations
and government agencies." Mr. Guarino added, "We
are strong believers in the NanoMask and are confident
that we will be able to sell a large number of NanoMasks
and NanoMask filters over the coming year."
