CombiMatrix and NDC Deliver Prototype Nanomaterials Workstation

The CombiMatrix group of Acacia Research, Newport Beach, CA, and its partner, Nanomaterials Discovery Corp. (NDC) of Laramie, WY, have delivered a prototype workstation for the combinatorial discovery and development of new nanomaterials.

CombiMatrix has licensed its semiconductor microarray technology exclusively to NDC for use in NDC's combinatorial nanomaterials discovery efforts for applications such as fuel cell catalysts, materials for rechargeable batteries, and electro-optic materials for telecommunications and displays.

The workstation is designed for high-throughput nanomaterials screening. Both companies will share in the revenue from any commercially viable new nanomaterials that are discovered, as well as from the sale of the workstations.
