System Provides Precise Control
Over Nanotube Growth
First
Nano (Santa Barbara, CA) offers the EasyTube™
2000 System optimized for nanotube and/or nanowire
synthesis enabling repeatable, scalable growth
and controlled process development. The fully
automated, high-throughput system is a chemical
vapor deposition tool for the synthesis of nanotubes
and other nanoscale materials. It is designed
on a modular platform to facilitate integration
of modular components that offer maximum flexibility
for various application research and product development.
Modular options provide alternative methods to
synthesize nanomaterials using a single precision
instrument.

The EasyTube™ system recently
grew high-purity, vertically aligned carbon nanotubes
over 1-mm long.
First Nano recently announced that lab experiments
with the EasyTube 2000 System has proven to grow
high-purity, vertically-aligned carbon nanotubes
(CNT) over 1-mm long on silicon substrate using
an iron thin film catalyst. The process development
for growing CNTs is part of a solution package
and is embedded in preprogrammed recipes in the
EasyTube System.
